So, firstly I need to apologise that it’s been way too long since my last blog!! Ive slapped my own wrist, and I promise not to do it again! However, I do have a bit of an excuse, no the dog did not eat my homework, I have been really busy working on The Dressage Coach.
For those of you that don’t know, a few years ago, I had the idea to create an online training platform for all riders, and my idea has finally come to light with The Dressage Coach this year!
The idea being that you can get coaching online (either live via FaceTime, zoom or skype, or virtually where you submit a video), which means that you can have your training when‘s convenient to you and you don’t need transport. This has meant building a specialised website to be able to do this, which my amazing hubby has done for me! So, I hear you ask, if hubby has been building the website, what have YOU been doing?? Well, I’ve been busy creating content for it (still a work in progress!), working on the marketing side ( with the help of the fabulous Becky from Marketing Buddie - (marketingbuddie.co.uk) and doing some promotion in the form of a Podcast!
I’ve been really lucky to have had so much support from my family, Becky, my friends and clients, and this is how I came to do the podcast. The Horse Feed UK (thehorsefeeduk.co.uk) were looking for guests for the podcast and several people tagged me and said to get in touch, so I did! I had so much fun doing the Podcast with the lovely Sam and I’m really pleased to say, that following on from the Podcast, I will be doing a regular training tips section for their future podcasts. We’ve also been super lucky and been featured in Equestrian Life Magazine (equestrianlifemagazine.co.uk) which is just fantastic.
The new lockdown has meant that The Dressage Coach is really coming into it’s own. It officially launches on the 16th November, but I’ve already been busy delivering Confidence and Mindset sessions via zoom and also doing some live coaching via FaceTime. It will be offering sports Nutrition advice, rider fitness tips, horse fitness plans, performance plans, goal setting and lots more! We have set up packages so that people can pay an upfront fee per month for there coaching. But, if you just want to give it a go, you can have one off sessions. Click the image below to check it all out!
So, as you can see, I really have been a bit busy! But of course, that doesn‘t mean that I’ve neglected my regular clients! I actually want to say how proud I am of so many of them. It’s been a difficult year and yet, I’ve still had a number of them, work through, sometimes with lots going on in their non-horsey lives and they have still managed to train their horses and get out competing and doing really well. I’ve also been busy with horses in for training, and of course not forgetting training Naz!
I’d also just like to mention, that as well as creating a new business, training horses, training riders and spending time with my own horse, me and my husband have just completed The Poppy Run 10k for The Royal British Legion. This was our second 10k this year and I have to say I’m looking forward to doing more next year. I’d also like to thank all the very generous people that donated for it, it’s such a great cause.
We’re still happily taking donations towards our Poppy Run, if you’d like to donate, please go to: https://mypoppyrun.britishlegion.org.uk/fundraising/MyPoppyRun2020-JamesBurchell
Right, well on that note, I’m off to keep working on content, but I will be blogging again very soon ( I’ll just mention that the The Dressage Coach also has a blog!)
